Winds, Full Moon Could Cause Coastal Flooding Tuesday

There could be localized minor flooding along the Sound Shore Tuesday into Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Statement through 1 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Strong east to northeast winds combined with a full moon will result in tidal departures of 1-1/2 to 2 feet above normal.

As a result there could be minor flooding Tuesday evening and overnight.

Vulnerable shore roads and adjacent properties could be impacted.
