Don't Miss: Clarkstown South High School Presents "Newsies"

There will be four performances of the spring musical the weekend of March 23.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — As its spring musical for 2024, Clarkstown South High School presents "Newsies" March 22-24.

"Newsies" takes place in New York City at the turn of the century, a time when children worked under harsh conditions selling newspapers to help themselves and their families survive.

As IMDB said of the film, it is "based on the New York City newsboy strike of 1899. When young newspaper sellers are exploited beyond reason by their bosses they set out to enact change and are met by the ruthlessness of big business."
