NYACK, NY — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Piermont and Nyack so you can start planning now.

Clarkstown

  • What: The town’s July Fourth celebration includes children's activities, a concert and fireworks.
  • When: June 30 (Rain Date: July 1)
  • Where: Felix Festa Middle School, 30 Parrott Road, West Nyack

Nyack

Stony Point

  • What: Catch a reading of the Declaration of Independence and hear the cannon roar at the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site. (For a special treat, return July 9 for an Evening Battlefield Lantern Walk. Walk with a costumed soldier at dusk, to the sound of musket and cannon fire, and learn about the daring attack on the British garrison. Fee: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and children.   • When: 2:45 p.m. July 2 and 3
  • Where: 44 Battlefield Road, Stony Point

Ramapo

  • What: The New York Boulders’ traditional fireworks celebration. For more information call 845-364-0009 or see NYBoulders.com
  • When: July 3 and 4 after the game
  • Where: at the ballpark, renamed Clover Stadium in January. “We saw first-hand last season how Clover improved the fan experience in our stadium, and now we are proud to have the Clover name on our ballpark,” Boulders’ President Shawn Reilly said at the time. Off Exit 12 on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

The Westchester County Music Fest and Fireworks, Kensico Dam Plaza, Valhalla, Sunday, July 3. Pre-concert entertainment starts at 5 p.m.; fireworks, about 9:15 p.m.

The annual Independence Day celebration of freedom of the press, featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence, will take place at the St. Paul's Church National Historic Site in Westchester County on July 4, 10:45 a.m. There will also be refreshments and music. Keynote speaker is scheduled to be Dr. Larry Spruill, longtime City Historian of Mt. Vernon and a Professor (Emeritus) of History at Morehouse College.

Rye Playland Fridays plus July 4. Enjoy a beautiful fireworks show at Playland beginning 4th of July weekend and continuing all summer long! SHOW TIMES: July 2nd-4th at 9:15 pm, and on every Friday following.

Red, White & BOOM! at Legoland New York Resort in Goshen July 4. All activities are included in the cost of admission to the resort. For more information, go here.

Fireworks Over the Hudson River, Walkway Over the Hudson, July 4. Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m. Tickets required to be on the Walkway during the event. For more information, go here.

And of course there's Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Show 2022 in NYC. It begins at 8 p.m. on NBC and streamed on Peacock featuring the U.S. Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus plus a lot more. The fireworks go off around 9:25 p.m. from barges in the East River.
