Contreras Records 500th Career Strikeout for Nyack High School

A senior, she'll play for the Brockport Golden Eagles in the fall.

Nyack senior softball pitcher Michaela Contreras achieved a milestone achievement April 30 in a win versus Mahopac High School, recording her 500th strikeout for Nyack High School.

She did it in style by pitching 15 innings in one day and winning both games of a double header in the Arlington tournament beating Mahopac and Arlington A.

Michaela also holds the record for most career strikeouts for any pitcher who has ever worn a Nyack softball uniform. She is also on pace for the single season strikeout record for a pitcher. She has been on the varsity team since 7th grade. She was Nyack's team MVP last year.
