NYACK, NY — A police chase that started Wednesday night in southern Westchester County ended when the occupants of the car got away on foot in Nyack.

At 9:49 p.m., the Real Time Crime Center at Westchester County Police headquarters broadcast an alert that a vehicle wanted in connection with a New York State Police investigation was traveling northbound on the Sprain Brook Parkway. A police officer located the vehicle on the Sprain and attempted a traffic stop, Westchester County police said.

The driver failed to comply and the officer pursued the vehicle onto Interstate 287. The Westchester County Police Aviation Unit also responded and advised it had the vehicle in sight.
