WEST NYACK, NY — Clarkstown installed a new rubber safety surface to enhance accessibility at the Germonds Park playground, which officially re-opened Wednesday.

The town is steadily upgrading all its playgrounds with new safety surfacing and equipment, where needed, for children to enjoy, said Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann.

At a little ceremony to mark the reopening, Hoehmann was joined by Councilman Pat Carroll, Superintendent of Recreation Elaine Apfelbaum, and members of the Parks Board and Recreation Commission; Chair Brian Tesseyman, Vice Chair Scott Milich, and long time Board Member Shirley Washington.
