Route 9W Will Be Closed Saturday Between Sparkill And South Nyack

ORANGETOWN, NY — Route 9W will be closed all day Saturday between Hickey Street in Sparkill and Shadyside Avenue in South Nyack for road repairs, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.

Motorists and bicyclists in Rockland County will find State Route 9W closed northbound and southbound between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., weather permitting.

The detour will use State Route 59, State Route 303 and State Route 340.

Expect delays; slow down.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
