NYACK, NY — Downed wires snarled traffic on I-87 in Rockland County Wednesday afternoon. As of 4:10 p.m. traffic was moving slowly on I-87. This screenshot taken of the New York State Thruway Authority's traffic cam at Exit 13 shows emergency vehicles still working at the scene.

In the mid afternoon, all lanes were blocked on the New York State Thruway between exits 12 and 13 in Rockland County due to low hanging high voltage power lines, New York State police reported.

Traffic was backed up both ways. All southbound traffic was diverted off at Exit 14- Spring Valley/Nanuet/Rt 59. All northbound traffic was diverted at Exit 12- West Nyack/ Rt 303, police said.
