THE WEATHER AHEAD

A couple inches of snow could fall on Monday just a day after Long Islanders enjoyed record-high temperatures.

Temperatures will drop below freezing early Monday, setting the stage for the winter weather.

The window of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is when the National Weather Service says the odds of snow are the highest on the Island.

A total of 1-2 inches of accumulation is expected for parts of Suffolk County. Nassau County will likely see less than an inch.
