HUDSON VALLEY, NY β€” It’s tax time everywhere in the Hudson Valley, but β€” not to worry β€” no one has to face it alone.

AARP is providing tax assistance to anyone, free of charge, in locations throughout the region.

Through April 15, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are available to help with most, but not all, tax returns, according to a spokesperson.

Tax-Aides can help people file a variety of income tax forms and schedules, including self-employment income, most income reported on Form 1099-MISC, economic impact payments, IRA contributions and health saving accounts.

They cannot prepare returns with complicated capital gains/losses, rental income and Alternative Minimum Tax, to name a few.
