Cortlandt Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

Police are asking if there were additional witnesses to the crash.

CORTLANDT, NY — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday in the town of Cortlandt, and police are asking if anyone witnessed the crash.

The New York State Police said Christopher R. Eastman, 27, of Cortlandt, was driving his 2006 Honda motorcycle west on Route 6 in Cortlandt Thursday.

Police said a 2020 Buick Encore, driven by Joyce M. Pellegrino, 72, of Peekskill, was going east on Route 6 when it made a left-hand turn into Eastman's path.

He was struck and ejected from the motorcycle.

Troopers began lifesaving techniques on Eastman until emergency medical technicians arrived to take over.

He was taken by Cortlandt Regional Paramedics to NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, but he died en route, police said.

Investigators are searching for additional witnesses regarding the crash.
