Damaging Winds Possible In Lower Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Power outages are possible Monday into Tuesday as a storm front approaches the Hudson Valley.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

It is in effect from 6 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Earlier Monday, the weather service issued a wind advisory for parts of the mid-Hudson Valley.

The weather service said west winds 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts up to 50 mph.

Meteorologists said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.
