Deadline To Pay Cortlandt School Taxes Approaching
Taxes that are not paid, or have a valid USPS postmark by Jan. 31, will incur a 10 percent penalty set by the state.
CORTANDT, NY — Homeowners in Cortlandt have until the end of the month to finish paying their 2023-24 school tax bill.
The second half of the taxes is due by Wednesday, Jan. 31.
Taxes that are not paid, or have a valid USPS postmark by Jan. 31 will incur a 10 percent penalty set by the state.

There are four options to pay: via drop-off box, in person, online or by mail.
To pay in person, go to the office at 1 Heady St., Cortlandt Manor, which is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The drop-off box is located in the courtyard. No cash.
If paying online, go to www.townofcortlandt.com/tax. If you pay by credit card, there is a 1.81 percent fee. To pay by ACH (e-check), there is a $1 fee.
To pay by mail, make sure it is postmarked by Jan. 31 in order to avoid penalty. Any envelope with no postmark is deemed to have been made on the date it was received. The mailing address is Receiver of Taxes, Town Hall, 1 Heady St., Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567. Designated delivery services such as FedEx or UPS may also be used.
