Hen Hud Celebrates District's Athletic Hall Of Fame

The inductees will be celebrated at the thirteenth annual Hall of Fame banquet.

From Hendrick Hudson Schools: On Saturday, September 29, 2018, the Hendrick Hudson Hall of Fame Committee will induct its Class of 2018 into the Hen Hud Athletic Hall of Fame. The inductees will be celebrated at the thirteenth annual Hall of Fame banquet, to be held at Hendrick Hudson High School at 10 am.

This year, the committee will honor one of the most dominating eras, not only in Hendrick Hudson history, but also in all of New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s history. Hen Hud’s three undefeated New York State Champion Volleyball teams from 2006, 2007 and 2008, along with many individual team members, will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame. Following the banquet, the Hendrick Hudson varsity volleyball team will take on Westlake High School.

Athletic Director Tom Baker said, “Each fall, many people in our community look forward to Hall of Fame Weekend. This year, to be able to honor one of the most dominating eras I have ever witnessed in high school sports, with our three-time New York State Champion volleyball teams and many of its participants, is truly rewarding. Our Hall of Fame Committee works diligently every year to ensure a very special weekend, and I am sure this year will be no different.”
