Metro-North Makes Changes To Memorial Day Weekend Train Schedules

The railroad has added some trains to accommodate people wanting to get away early Friday.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — For the first big getaway opportunity of the summer season, Metro-North Railroad has scheduled service changes for the Memorial Day weekend, including a few early trains to get people out of the city and back home on Friday.

You'll need to take note because some of the later trains are canceled.

The Hudson Line will have three early getaway trains Friday: at 1:18 p.m. to Poughkeepsie, 1:50 p.m to Croton-Harmon and 2:18 p.m. to Poughkeepsie. The 5:29 p.m. and 6:11 p.m. express trains to Beacon, New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie are canceled.

The Harlem Line will have two early getaway trains Friday: 1:16 p.m. to Southeast and 1:52 p.m. to North White Plains. The 5:27 express to Southeast is canceled.

On the New Haven Line, there will be four early getaway trains:

  • 12:07 p.m. to Stamford, all stops between Harlem-125 Street and Stamford
  • 12:34 p.m. to New Haven, express from Harlem-125 Street to Stamford, then all stops to New Haven
  • 1:07 p.m. to Stamford, all stops between Harlem-125 Street and Stamford
  • 1:34 p.m. to New Haven, express from Harlem-125 Street to Stamford, then all stops to New Haven

All three lines will run Saturday trains on a normal Saturday schedule. On Sunday and Monday, trains will run on a normal Sunday schedule.
