Peekskill Farmers Market Opens for the Season

The Peekskill Farmers Market, a staple in the Peekskill community for 34 years, opened for the season on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

The Peekskill Farmers Market, a staple in the Peekskill community for 34 years, opened for the season on Saturday, June 1, 2024 with a ribbon-cutting attended by local dignitaries from the City of Peekskill and the Peekskill Business Improvement District, which presents the market.

The market operates every Saturday from 8am to 2pm on Bank Street in Downtown Peekskill, New York, rain or shine, through November 23, 2024. The market provides a fresh alternative food source for downtown residents and visitors and increases foot traffic into downtown businesses.

Free parking is available at metered spaces on street, in surface lots, and in parking garages on Saturdays. The James Street Parking garage is just a block away and has multiple levels of convenient, free parking.

There are many returning vendors and several new ones. Fresh vegetables, fruits, delicious pickles, olives, fresh baked goods, gluten free donuts, cheeses, farm fresh eggs, spices, flowers, handmade soaps, fragrant lotions, coffee, wines and spirits, healthy beverages and so much more will be available at the market. Weekly participating vendors will be announced on the Peekskill Farmers Market Facebook page.

“We want everyone to discover what Peekskill has to offer when they visit the farmers market. We have great restaurants, friendly small businesses and an array of public art within easy walking distance of the market,” said Bill Powers, Executive Director, Peekskill Business Improvement District.
