Peekskill To Fill Job Opening In Its Public Works Department

PEEKSKILL, NY — The city of Peekskill is looking to fill a vacancy in its Department of Public Works.

There is an opening for a full-time heavy motor equipment operator, with a starting salary ranging from $90,094 to $91,896.

Officials said applicants must meet the Westchester County Civil Service requirements to be appointed or to transfer to this position.

Among the essential duties and responsibilities for the job are driving and/or operating automotive equipment that requires a commercial driver’s license Class A, operating heavy duty trucks, steam rollers, front end loaders and bulldozers, running a crew and laying out plans and jobs.
