Peekskill Seeking Volunteers For Parks Clean Up Day

Organizers said people can volunteer to clean up at any of the city parks.

PEEKSKILL, NY — The city of Peekskill Recreation Department is asking for volunteers to help with Parks Clean Up Day.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20.

Organizers said people can volunteer to clean up at any of the city parks. There will be refreshments afterward for all participants at the Riverfront Green Park.

Additionally, there will be a presentation by the Peekskill Conservation Advisory Council on the Tree City USA & Climate Smart Community Awards as well as information on the food scrap recycling program and the tree ordinance.

To sign up, fill out the volunteer form and return it to Peekskill Recreation, 1 Robin Drive, Peekskill NY 10566.
