Zachary is a 55 pound, 2-year-old male shepherd/mastiff mix. He was found as a stray wandering around Georgia, and was brought to a high-kill shelter. He was luckily rescued before it was too late. Now, he has been at the rescue for 5 months, waiting patiently for his home to come along.

Zachary LOVES to play with all of the rescue dogs at the doggy daycare. He watches them come and go, all of his buddies get adopted but he gets left behind.

Zachary has an amazing personality. He is quiet and extremely affectionate with everyone he trusts. He loves to bask in your attention, play ball, go on car rides and long walks, and receive belly rubs!

He is crate, leash and house trained. He is also great with cats! He needs a loving and dedicated owner that will commit to him, give him time to decompress, trust, and love. Once he is given a few weeks to settle in, training would be great for him and we feel he would have more confidence with strangers. Since he has never been exposed to younger children and is unsure with their behaviors, a home without younger kids would be best for him.
