Proposed $93M Hendrick Hudson SD Budget On The Ballot May 21

MONTROSE, NY — The 2024 budget and school board vote is May 21, and two seats are up for election on the Hendrick Hudson Board of Education.

The proposed spending plan of $93,059,145 is 5.69 percent higher than the current budget.

The tax levy is expected to rise 4.12 percent.

District officials said that the budget would support: instructional programs, capital and adminstration.

"As stewards of public funds, we recognize the importance of transparency and accountability in our budgetary processes," Superintendent Michael A. Tromblee said. "This budget reflects our ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience for all students while maintaining fiscal responsibility."

Proposition #2: Capital Improvement Project Bond. Not to exceed $30,000,000.

Proposition #3: Creation of the Energy System Tax Stabilization Reserve Fund.

Proposition #4: School Buses, Vans, Vehicle and Related Equipment. Not to exceed $550,000.

Proposition #5: Hendrick Hudson Free Library Budget of $1,366,692.

Two, three-year term board seats will be up for election.

Candidates running include: Devys Rivera, Joseph Mintz, Christine Jacknick, Cori Boudin, and Lauren Stanco.
