Road Work on Route 9 Starts Next Week

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Lane closures are expected to occur on Route 9 between Croton Point Avenue and Route 9/9A next week during the day.

Crews will be performing construction activities, weather permitting.

Closures on the southbound portion of Route 9 are expected on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Closures on the northbound portion of Route 9 are expected on Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
