Visitation, Service for Tank Milano

The Cortlandt Manor resident was 80.

Tank Milano of Cortlandt Manor went to his eternal rest on Dec. 1, 2015, he was 80.

He was born May 12, 1935 in Croton to Angelo & Marcella (Corea) Milano.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate Carole of 42 years, children Angelo “Jay-R” and wife Heather, Nicholas Caputo and wife Maria, Janine Caputo and husband Thomas, Marcella “Marcie” Cascino and husband Peter. “Poppi” had 11 adoring grandchildren: Matthew, Alexandra, Nancy, Joseph, Sal, Christina, Jenna, Dylan, Nicholas, Angelo and Spencer. Tank, who was affectionately known as “Uncle Tank”, has many beloved nieces and nephews.

He owned and operated A. Milano & Sons Trucking, with his brothers Louis, who predeceased him, and Nicholas “Chubby” who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany. He was a long-time Operating Engineer and member of Local 137.

Tank co-founded and ran for several years the St. Augustine’s Italian Festival.

He was a devoted family man and friend, who loved life and lived it to the fullest. To know him was to love him.

He will be reposing Sat. & Sun. 3-7pm at Leach & Thomas, Inc. 32 State St. Ossining. Mass of Christian Burial Mon. 10am at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton, interment at Bethel Cemetery.
