HG Realtor Foundation Presents Check to SPCA

The Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation recently presented a check for $1,000 to The SPCA of Westchester in Briarcliff Manor.

From Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS®: The Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation, the charitable arm of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS®, recently presented a check for $1,000 to The SPCA of Westchester in Briarcliff Manor.

Founded in 1883, the SPCA of Westchester is a no-kill, not-for-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving homeless, abused and abandoned animals and to protecting animals from cruelty and neglect through education and enforcement of humane laws. The SPCA receives no federal, state, or county funds. It relies solely on the financial support of people, corporations and foundations who care about the welfare of animals.

“We are grateful to our friends at the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors for helping with the completion of our Real Life Space at the SPCA Animal Care Campus in Briarcliff Manor. This dedicated center, run by our behavior and training staff, will replicate the sights and sounds of home, making the transition to adoption smoother for animals and their new families,” said Shannon Laukhuf, Executive Director of the SPCA of Westchester.

The SPCA of Westchester is one of 17 local Hudson Valley charities benefitting from The REALTOR® Foundation, which raised more than $30,000 at its September “Monte Carlo Night Gala” at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. Established in 2004 and relaunched in 2013, the Foundation has donated thousands of dollars to charities and non-profits throughout the Hudson Valley. As concerned members of the communities we work in, the Hudson Gateway REALTOR® Foundation participates in qualified community-based charities who serve the housing, hunger, health, happiness, and humane needs of citizens everywhere.
