Blizzard 2016: Snow Timeline for Port Washington

The snow event from start to finish and when the snow will be at its worst.

PORT WASHINGTON, NY- The region is preparing for blizzard conditions Saturday, with up to a foot of snow expected in the Port Washington area.

Conditions are expected to deteriorate Saturday morning, with the biggest snowfall and wind gusts (up to 50 mph) likely Saturday afternoon and evening. Coastal flood warnings and watches are also in effect for large portions of Long Island.

Here is a look at when the snow arrives and the current estimated snow totals for Port Washington as of Friday morning:

Saturday

Midnight to 7 a.m.: 0.6 inches

7 a.m. to 1 p.m.: 2.2 inches

1 p.m. to 7 p.m.: 3.2 inches

7 p.m. to 1 a.m.: 2.7 inches

Sunday

1 a.m. to 6 a.m.: Chance of snow, no accumulation
