Christopher Morley Park Pools to Open for Summer Season in June

Christopher Morley Park pool facility in Roslyn-North Hills will officially open for the summer season on Monday, June 27, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announced.

Nassau County’s outdoor swimming pools are located in Hicksville, Wantagh, Lido Beach, Roslyn-North Hills and North Woodmere.

All county pools are open daily through Labor Day and include various conveniences, such as lockers, dressing areas, showers, concession stands, lounge and deck chairs and sun shelters.

Christopher Morley Park, located on Searingtown Road, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call the park at (516) 571-8113 for more information.

Christopher Morley Park offers a large swimming complex such as an Olympic-size pool, diving tank with boards, and a kiddie pool.

Daily pool fees:

  • Resident adult, $6
  • Resident child (4-17 years of age), $4
  • Senior, disabled, vol. firefighter, ambulance corps, auxiliary police, veterans, $4
  • Non-resident adult, $16
  • Non-resident child, $11

A Leisure Pass is required for residents to receive the resident rate

  • Cantiague Park, (516) 571-7056: Open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Located at: West John Street east of Cantiague Rock Road, Hicksville.
  • Nickerson Beach, (516) 571-7700: Open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Located at: 880 Lido Blvd., Lido Beach.
  • North Woodmere Park, (516) 571-7801: Open Monday – Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Located at: Branch Boulevard and Hungry Harbor Road, North Woodmere.
  • Wantagh Park, (516) 571-7460: Open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Located at: 1 King Road, Wantagh.

Cantaigue Park, Wantagh Park and North Woodmere Park offer “water theme” facilities that incorporate Olympic-size swimming pools, diving pools, “kiddie” pools, interactive water-play areas and water slides. Nickerson Beach Park in Lido, a 121-acre oceanfront park, is comprised of two small pools as well as kiddie pools.
