SoundWaters Offers Sunset, Day Sails During HarborFest

The 80-foot, three-masted schooner returns to Port Washington this weekend.

The 80-foot, three-masted schooner named SoundWaters is among the many attractions of the 26th Annual HarborFest Dock and Day Craft Fair this weekend in Port Washington.

SoundWaters, founded in 1989, is a leading environmental educational organization based in Stamford, CT, that looks to educate children and adults about the wonders and beauty of the Long Island Sound and its watershed.

SoundWaters will offer a Sunset Sail from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday and Dock Day sails from the Port Washington Town Dock that take off on Sunday at 12 p.m. 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each Dock Day sail will last about 1 hour and 25 minutes.

It is recommended to arrive at least 20 minutes before the cruise sets sail.

The Saturday night Sunset Sail is $35 per person (all ages), and the Sunday Dock Day sail is $25 for adults and $15 for children under age 12. Children under age 5 are advised to not participate in the cruises.
