Take an 85-minute dive into our relationship with technology and social media, and witness the impact of these mediums on our interactions with others and ourselves.
This production features choreography by Nika Antuanette to music & lyrics by Jeremy Cone. Musical stylings range from electronic, pop, musical theater, opera, to orchestral. 5 Dancers physically tell the story of our collective experience, embodying several styles and genres stemming from contemporary, jazz, modern, and ballet.
In addition to seeing established Moving Dance Company repertoire, ranging from the intensity of “HOLOGRAM” & “View/Chew,” to the celebratory vibes of “Reply” to the satirical and absurd conditions of “Rational Anthem” and “Modern Love,” audiences can look forward to journeying through a range of emotional states. 3 new dances will also be premiered!
Our hope and our mission, as Moving Dance Company, for creating this show, is to deliver poignant reminders of how to strike a balance with our social media and technological use. We want to leave people feeling empowered to use their devices as tools rather than vices. Thank you, and we look forward to sharing here with you!
