Road Rage Victim Dies After Being Shot In Queens: NYPD

The death was ruled a homicide by the city's medical examiner.

QUEENS, NY — A man shot in the stomach during a road rage incident on a Queens expressway has died from his injuries, according to police and reports.

Jamal Artis, 46, died at New York Presbyterian Hospital Monday, police announced Wednesday morning.

The Corona man's death was ruled a homicide three days after he was shot by an irate driver on the Horace Harding Expressway near 108th Street, police said.

Artis had been arguing with the driver of a white sedan who ended the fight by pulling out a gun, according to an Eyewitness News report.

The suspect was still on the loose as of Wednesday morning, police said.

Police are now searching for the owner of the vehicle abandoned at the scene, authorities said.
