Team Finn, Rye Runners Complete Sleepy Hollow Half Marathon

A team running to raise funds for an organization working to find a cure for cerebral palsy, in honor of a local Rye boy, completed the marathon Saturday.

Tim and Ellie Kelly ran 11 miles and then met up with their eight-year-old son Finn to carry him throught the last miles and then across the finish line of the Sleepy Hollow Half Marathon on Saturday, March 23.

The Rye Kelly family organized a team of 15 to run in the marathon in honor of Finn, who is diagnosed with ceberal palsy. The team raised more than $38,000 to donate to the Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation (CPIRF). Time and Ellie finished the race in 2:12:56. Their older son Dillon, a junior at Rye High School, finished in 1:53:36. Most of the Rye runners in the race were running for the Kelly's cause. Read more here.
