1 Arrested After Flavored Vapes Found In Oakdale Smoke Shop Bust: PD

Suffolk County police arrested an Oakdale smoke shop employee as part of "Operation Smoke Out," police say.

OAKDALE, NY — A man was arrested Friday night after selling flavored vape products to an undercover officer in Oakdale, according to Suffolk County Police.

Sardara Rathaur, 69, of Sayville, was arrested and charged with public health law sale of flavored vape products after Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted a compliance check at Oakdale Smoke Shop on Montauk Highway, police said.

According to police, multiple vape products containing nicotine were seized.

Police issued Rathaur a field appearance ticket. He is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date, police said.

The investigation was part of Suffolk Police Department's “Operation Smoke Out," which aims to crack down on underage and illegal vape sales.
