100+ Marijuana Products Seized In Sayville Smoke Shop Bust: Police

Officers seized over 100 marijuana products, some of which looked like candy, from a smoke shop on Sayville's Main Street, police say.

SAYVILLE, NY — A man was arrested for selling cannabis products at a Sayville store on Tuesday, police said.

Wayne Bristel Jr., 22, of Mastic, was arrested and charged with unlawful sale of marijuana after selling cannabis products to an undercover officer at Island Hookah on Main Street in Sayville, police said.

According to police, officers seized more than 100 marijuana products from the store, several of which were labeled to look like candy.

Bristel was released on a field appearance ticket and is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date, police said.

The investigation was part of Suffolk Police Department's “Operation Smoke Out," which aims to crack down on underage and illegal vape sales.
