BAYPORT, NY — Five teenagers were arrested Friday after police say they busted into a Bayport home, attacking a 15-year-old boy inside and injured him.

The five teens kicked down a door of a Terrace Road home at around 3:30 p.m. and "attacked" a 15-year-old resident and stole his phone, police said, adding that he was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 15-year-old and one of the suspects had gotten into an altercation on March 6, but there were no injuries in that incident, police said.

News 12 first reported that several residents in the apartment complex were home and that, according to police, the teens kicked down the front door of an apartment and repeatedly hit and punched two 15-year-old boys in the head and body before making off with one of their phones.

One of the boys had severe swelling, bruising, and cuts, according to a detective, the outlet reported.

An attorney for Squiciarino, of West Babylon, but now held on either $20,000 or $25,000 cash bail, told News 12 that he "has no prior criminal history, no prior criminal record. He’s still presumed innocent. We will maintain his innocence until and unless his guilt is proven."
