Why are you seeking elective office?

I am running to continue to give taxpayers a voice in the county legislature. To root out corruption and make sure we keep our communities safe and beautiful.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The single most important thing facing our district is affordability. That’s why I have voted to cut spending, held the line on taxes, and voted against increased borrowing of taxpayer money.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am a full-time legislator and have the experience necessary to continue to represent the citizens of the 8th legislative district.

How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?

All in all, I think we worked in a bi-partisan manner to keep the county moving forward in these unprecedented times.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

Stopping overdevelopment to protect our suburban way of life. Voting to protect hundreds of acres of open space, voted to protect our drinking water. Voted to give our law enforcement the necessary tools we need to keep our communities safe.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

In one term I have created a proven record of fiscal responsibility, an independent voice for my constituents, and being a full-time legislator.

The best advice ever shared with me was:

My grandpa always said, 'It's what you do when no one is watching that is important'.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

It has been an honor to serve as your legislator for the last two years. I humbly ask for your support this November 2. Let us keep moving our community forward. Thank you and God bless you all.
