Construction Begins on New Bayport-Blue Point Library

The library will be converting the former St. Ursala Convent into a large, new facility.

Community leaders and library officials gathered on Friday, June 10 to break ground on the new Bayport-Blue Point Public Library. The library will be converting the former St. Ursala Convent into a new 28,573-square-foot facility, more than twice the size of the current library. Construction is expected to take 12 to 15 months, with a ribbon-cutting set for the fall of 2021.
