“Jazz night is always a concert that people circle on their calendar,” said James Wilson Young Middle School Principal Robert Haas. “The students and staff put a great deal of time and effort outside of the school day to prepare for this concert, and they never disappoint. It was a great show.”

On Saturday, Feb. 3, both the middle and high school jazz bands will represent the school district at the SCMEA Day of Jazz Festival. The students were chosen based on teacher recommendations, and will be given the opportunity to perform for judges who will critique their performances and offer constructive criticism. These students represent the top middle and high school student- musicians from across Suffolk County.
