SAYVILLE-BAYPORT, NY — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going in the Sayville-Bayport area in 2022.

July 4 Festivities

What: East Islip Fire Department Hook & Ladder Co. #1 Carnival Craft Fair
Where: Brookwood Hall, 50 Irish Ln in East Islip
When: June 30 through July 3

Join the East Islip Fire Department and the East Islip Chamber of Commerce for four days of fun and crafts. Enjoy live music by Division Street band on July 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by a free fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. and be sure to stay for the free fireworks show on July 2 at 9:30 p.m. and July 3.


What: Oakdale Firecracker 5K Run
Where: 500 Montauk Hwy, Oakdale
When: July 4

Run 5k or walk 1.5k on the scenic grounds of Bourne Mansion to raise funds for the Oakdale Historical Society. The course is a mix of paved roads and grass on the grounds of the historic Bourne Mansion in Oakdale. Runners will complete two loops for a 5k, and walkers will complete one. Strollers are welcome, but please note some of the run is on the grass.

Kids can participate in a free run, beginning at 8 a.m. Runners will begin at 8:30 a.m. and walkers will begin at 8:40 a.m.



What: Postgame Fireworks Spectacular
Where: Bethpage Ballpark, located at 3 Court House Drive in Central Islip.
When: July 1 through 3, and also June 24, June 25, July 23, Aug. 27, after 6:35 p.m. games.

Enjoy a spectacular fireworks show after cheering on Long Island's minor league baseball team, the Long Island Ducks. Fireworks shows are free with the purchase of tickets to any of the games.
