Frost Advisory Issued For Suffolk County

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Suffolk County. It will be in effect from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday.

Sensitive outdoor plants should be protected, the NWS says.

Thursday Night- Areas of frost after 5am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 37. West wind 9 to 13 mph.

Friday- Areas of frost before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 61. Wind chill values between 30 and 40 early. Southwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Friday Night- A 30 percent chance of showers after midnight. Increasing clouds, with a low around 52. Breezy, with a southwest wind 17 to 20 mph.

Saturday- A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. West wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Saturday Night- A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.

Sunday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. Breezy.

Sunday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 34.

Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
