Islip Town Apple Festival and Scarecrow Contest To Return To Sayville

The fall festivities will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21.

SAYVILLE, NY — A beloved fall festival is set will return this weekend in Sayville.

The Town of Islip's "Apple Festival" is to take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Islip Grange, located at 10 Broadway Ave.

Participants can enjoy a festival food court, fresh apple desserts, and live entertainment by country and classic rock band, Southdown.

The family-friendly event will also offer amusement rides, fresh apple desserts, pumpkin picking, pony rides, and a petting zoo.

In addition, the town's Scarecrow Contest will also take place at the event. Participants are invited to bring their most decorated scarecrows, which will be displayed at the festival.

Ribbons will be awarded for the most creative scarecrows.

A free shuttle bus will also be available to provide transportation from the Sayville Train Station to Islip Grange.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The rain date will be Oct. 29.
