LONG ISLAND, NY — As temperatures start to rise, local residents will be looking for ways to cool down. A fun, family-friendly way to cool off is to visit one of the several spray parks located across Long Island.

If you don't want to trek out to the beach, these parks offer a combination of playgrounds and sprinklers — perfect for the whole family.

SUFFOLK:

- Byron Pool

80 Bayview Drive, Oakdale

Hours of operation: June 26 to August 29 and September 4 and 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. The pool will be from closed August 30 to September 3. Labor Day hours: 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

- Casamento Pool

65 Muncey Road, West Islip

Hours of operation: June 26 to September 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Labor Day hours: September 6 from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

- Hidden Pond Park Pool

660 Terry Road, Hauppauge

Hours of operation: June 26 to August 22 Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. August 23 to August 27 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. August 28 and 29 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. August 30 to September 3 and Labor Day from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. September 4 and 5 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- Roberto Clemente Pool

400 Broadway Avenue, Brentwood

Hours of operation: June 26 to August 29 and September 4 and 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. The park will be closed from August 30 to September 3. Labor Day hours: 11 a.m.t o 4:45 p.m.

- Ship Wreck Cove

150 South Clinton Avenue, Bay Shore

Hours of operation: June 26 to September 6 from 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. daily.

- Geiger Park

- Sgt. Paul Tuzzolo Memorial Spray Park

305 Cuba Hill Road, Huntington

Hours of operation: Starting June 28 from 11 a.m. to dusk every day a week. Starting Tuesday, June 29 children with special needs will be able to use the spray park exclusively during extended hours from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
