Obituary: Corinne Robinson, Sayville Native, Dies At 93

A memorial service will be held this weekend.

Service: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21 at 11 a.m. at St.Ann’s Episcopal Church on 257 Middle Road in Sayville.

Obituary: Corinne B. Robinson, former Babylon Public Library Board Trustee and 56-year resident of Babylon Village passed away in Marietta, Georgia Aon July 9, 2019. She was 93.

Robinson was born on November 14, 1925 in Sayville, to Ralph and Minnie Berger. She graduated from Sayville High School in 1943.

On October 31, 1946 she married John Wells Robinson also from Sayville. They eventually made their home in Babylon and raised one daughter, Penney and two sons, Jeffrey and John.

Robinson retired from the Babylon Public Library in 1999 after 26 years of service and later served on the Babylon Public Library Board as a Trustee for two terms.

She enjoyed many social and philanthropic organizations including PEO, Babylon Business Women and Garden Club.

She was a tour guide for Sagtikos Manor and was a 60-plus year member of the Babylon Yacht Club.

Robinson had a passion for painting and making jewelry. She loved to garden, play bridge with her friends and spending time with her beloved Yorkshire Terriers especially Bentley her Champion.

She was known for her beautiful smile and loyalty to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John and her grandson, Jeffrey W. Robinson, Jr.

Robinson is survived by her daughter, Penney Williams and son-in-law Gordon Williams, Jr.; her son, Jeffrey W. Robinson and daughter-in-law Angela Robinson; her son, John W. Robinson, Jr. Colonel, USAF(Ret) and her daughter -in-law Jeanne Robinson.

In addition, she is survived by her grandsons, Johnny Robinson, Tripp Williams, Alex Robinson and Gus Williams; as well as, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery following the service.
