POSTPONED: Islip Town Apple Festival and Scarecrow Contest

SAYVILLE, NY — A beloved fall festival has been postponed due to weather.

The Town of Islip's "Apple Festival", which was set to take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Islip Grange, located at 10 Broadway Ave., will now take place on Oct. 28.

The announcement was made in a social media post on Wednesday.

Participants can enjoy a festival food court, fresh apple desserts, and live entertainment by country and classic rock band, Southdown.

In addition, the town's Scarecrow Contest will also take place at the event. Participants are invited to bring their most decorated scarecrows, which will be displayed at the festival.
