Long Island Weather: Dangerous Nor'easter Looms

The forecast for this powerful nor'easter continues to worsen. Check out the latest details on the potential impacts the island faces.

Power outages are expected across Long Island with wind gusts reaching 60-70 mph and residents along the coast could see 2-3 feet of flooding as a monster nor'easter gets set to wallop the region.

Several inches of rain is expected to fall Friday into Saturday morning and snow is also now likely to accumulate on the island. Less than an inch of snow is the official forecast, but we could be in for a surprise. There is a 10 percent chance of 3-4 inches of snow accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.
