Special Weather Statement Issued For Long Island
A heads up from the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement for Long Island:
Areas of fog have developed across the area early this morning. Visibility may be reduced to less than one mile at times, and may be locally dense. If driving, slow down, use your low beam
headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. The fog will gradually lift through 10am.
Low clouds and areas of fog persist through much of this morning. Later today skies will remain mainly cloudy with the slight chance of a few showers, but most of the time it should not be raining. Temperatures will stay a bit below normal today, with mostly low to mid 60s. pic.twitter.com/y1e5662ziM
