SAYVILLE, NY — A Suffolk County police officer is making a name for himself, after he recently helped in the delivery of his third emergency birth in six months.

On Monday, Officer Arnold Reyes, a member of the SCPD MedCAT (Medical Crisis Action Team), arrived to a High Street residence in Sayville, to assist Caroline Hubbard with the birth of her daughter.

However, the "baby had already made her debut", Suffolk County Police Department's social media post said.

The baby could not wait to come into the world, and Rick, Hubbard's husband, delivered his daughter, Florence, in their home.

"Our two-year-old son witnessed the birth," Hubbard told Patch. "Truly an incredible and beautiful moment."

Reyes then "took charge" and put clamps on the umbilical cord, while helping the proud father cut it.

This is the third time Reyes has assisted in a baby delivery in the last six months, the post said.

The Community Ambulance Company then responded and took the happy mom and her baby to a local hospital.

Last week, two other police officers helped a woman deliver a baby in her Amityville apartment.
