Family Of Motorcyclist, 19, Killed In East Quogue Crash, Needs Help

EAST QUOGUE, NY — A GoFundMe has been created to help the family of a young motorcyclist who died in an East Quogue crash Monday.

The "Wesch Family" page was created by Zachary Beresid for the family of Devin Edward Wesch, 19, of Selden.

"Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated," Beresid wrote. "He loved so many people and could make anyone smile; any room he walked into, he would light up; he will forever be loved and never forgotten."

According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at 3:55 p.m. on Montauk Highway, near the cross street of Shinnecock Avenue in East Quogue.

Wesch, who was riding alone, was heading west on Montauk Highway when he lost control, left the roadway, and crashed into a pole, police said.

Wesch was deceased upon arrival, police said.

The crash investigation led to a road closure between Jones Road and Shinnecock Avenue in East Quogue, beginning at about 3:55 p.m., police said.
