Southampton Fire Department Assistant Chief Richard Fowler, incident commander for the scene, requested a rapid intervention team from the Hampton Bays Fire Department, an engine from the North Sea Fire Department, and the Bridgehampton Fire Department, to cover the Southampton Fire Department district. Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance, which had two ambulances at the scene for firefighter assessment, was led by Chief Kyle McGuinness, who requested Hampton Bays Ambulance and Bridgehampton Ambulance for assistance, Brenner said.

One firefighter was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Southampton Town fire marshals were requested to the scene. Suffolk County Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services sent two fire coordinators to assist the fire chief.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Brenner said.

"On behalf of the Southampton Fire Department Chief's Office, they would like to thank all the mutual aid departments, fire and EMS for their assistance this evening," Brenner said. "It was another hot night for the members, but they did an amazing job."
