Man Airlifted After Being Hit By Pickup Truck: Police

EAST END, NY — A Sag Harbor pedestrian was airlifted after he was hit by a pickup truck on Noyack Road near Valley Road Thursday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 5:24 p.m. when Jacinto R. Heres-Washigta, 44, of Riverhead, who was driving a 2010 Ford Ranger pickup truck northbound, struck Victor Busten-Sangurima, 45.

Busten-Sangurima was airlifted by the Suffolk County Police Department's aviation unit to an area hospital, police said. Heres-Washigta remained at the scene the crash appears non-criminal, police said.

Police rendered first aid and the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance responded to help, police said.
