Man Charged With DWI After Hitting 2 Parked Cars On East End: PD

FLANDERS, NY — A Flanders man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday after hitting two parked cars, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 10:43 p.m.; a report came in about a three-car motor vehicle crash in the vicinity of Evergreen Road and Priscilla Avenue, authorities said.

Patrol units responded and determined that Jeremias Sicajau-Cotzojay, 43, swerved out of his traffic lane and struck two unoccupied vehicles that were parked in the shoulder of Evergreen Road, police said.

Sicajau-Cotzojay was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; DWI, a misdemeanor; and traffic infractions, police said.

He was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters, where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
