Man Strikes Female Pedestrian, Flees Scene In Flanders: Police

FLANDERS, NY — A man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after striking a pedestrian and fleeing the scene of a Flanders crash Sunday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 7:43 p.m. on Oak Avenue. Jun R. GarciaFuentes, 25, struck a female pedestrian and left the scene, police said.

He was then seen driving in an intoxicated condition in the area; he was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor; leaving the scene of a crash with personal injury, a misdemeanor, and a traffic law violation, police said.
