Services: Tuesday, September 29, starting at 10 a.m. at the Brockett Funeral Home on 203 Hampton Road in Southampton. Reverand Leslie Duroseau will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Edgewood Cemetery in Bridgehampton.

Obituary: Ellen Hirt, of Bridgehampton, died at her home on Thursday, Sept. 24. She was 98.
She is survived by her three sons: John (and his wife Carol) of New Jersey, Robert (and his wife Virginia) of Bridgehampton, and Richard (and his wife Maxine) of North Haven, and three grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kimberly, and Renee.

She was predeceased by her husband John in 2003.
